Terms of Service

By accessing or using SoFloPros ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, consumers (homeowners), and contractors who use the Platform.

SoFloPros is an online marketplace that connects homeowners in South Florida with licensed contractors and home service professionals. We do not employ contractors and are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of the services they provide.

We provide the Platform solely as a venue for users to find and connect with service professionals. Any contract for services is strictly between the homeowner and the contractor.

Contractors who list their services on the Platform ("Pros") must:

• Provide accurate and truthful information about their business, licenses, and insurance.
• Maintain all required licenses and permits as mandated by Florida law.
• Carry adequate insurance coverage as represented on their profile.
• Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Pay the applicable monthly subscription fee to maintain an active listing.

SoFloPros reserves the right to suspend or remove any listing that violates these Terms or that we believe poses a risk to users.

While SoFloPros may review documents submitted by contractors, we do not guarantee the validity of any license, certification, or insurance policy. Users are encouraged to independently verify contractor credentials through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) at myfloridalicense.com.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent the Platform by soliciting users to transact off-platform to avoid fees.
• Submit fake reviews or manipulate the rating system.

Reviews must be honest, firsthand accounts of your experience. You may only submit a review for a contractor after completing a verified project through the Platform. SoFloPros reserves the right to remove reviews that violate our content policies or that we believe are fraudulent.

Contractor subscriptions are billed monthly. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled before the next billing cycle. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

Homeowners are not charged by SoFloPros. Payments for contractor services are made directly between the homeowner and contractor.

In the event of a dispute between a homeowner and a contractor, SoFloPros may offer mediation as a courtesy but is under no obligation to do so and makes no guarantees regarding any resolution. All disputes regarding work performed are ultimately between the homeowner and the contractor.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoFloPros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Platform, including but not limited to damages arising from contractor services, regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amounts you paid to SoFloPros in the 12 months preceding the claim.

All content on the Platform, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of SoFloPros or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without our express written permission.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
